Ask anyone who is from around here and they’ll tell you Big Bear is truly a special place. The Big Bear area is fortunate to experience some of the most incredible weather in the world year-round, and this allows many farmers to grow a plethora of different fruits and vegetables right here in our backyard. Big Bear is also special because our small town and the beautiful outdoor scenery has been the inspirations for young craftsman and artisans for generations.
Now you may be asking yourself, “What do these two things have in common?” Well the answer is quite simple: The High Desert Farmers’ Market! Our weekly farmers’ market brings together some of the best local farmers and artisans to sell their wares directly to you, and you’ll never know what you’re going to find!
With a motto like “From Our Farmers’ Gardens to You,” you can rest assured that you’ll find nothing but the freshest produce the Big Bear area has to offer at the High Desert Farmers’ Market! Taking place every Tuesday morning (8 AM to noon) from the beginning of April until the end of September, the true highlight of the High Desert Farmers’ Market is that each and every one of the farmers that attends is a true California farmer—no fakers here! Some of the farmers include Yang Thao Farms in Fresno, JM Citrus from Riverside, and so much more. This means that when you visit the High Desert Farmers’ Market, you can go with the confidence that the produce you’re buying is locally grown, cared for, fresh, and delicious!
In addition to all of the fantastic farmers, there are a number of incredible and unique vendors at the High Desert Farmers’ Market every single week selling a wide array of goods! Some of the finest local artists and artisans from all across the Big Bear region attend the farmers’ market to sell their goods, and you’ll never know what you could find on any given Tuesday! From one of a kind pieces of jewelry to art, and even custom-made birdfeeders from vendors such as Deep Forest Designs, you’re bound to find something different every time you stop in at the High Desert Farmers’ Market.
Make sure to come on down and see what you can discover for yourself at the High Desert Farmers’ Market! The market is held at the convention center at 42900 Big Bear Boulevard, and parking can be limited, so make sure to get here as early as you can.
