Big Bear Lake has an amazing variety of bars, pubs, and clubs for such a small tourist town. Lucky for you! So, whether you enjoy dancing the night away to the heavy throbbing beat of electronica, putting it all out there on karaoke night, or listening to the softer tones of classical music drifting through the air as you taste another delicious wine offering with a yummy baked brie appetizer, you’ll find it here in Big Bear.
Family Friendly Bars
Murray’s Saloon & Eatery is a family-friendly bar (at least until the sun goes down). Sit inside and enjoy popular menu items like burgers and ahi tuna or enjoy your pub far out on the outdoor patio with that wonderful view on display. The kitchen is open until 2 am, and they’re open seven days a week. There is a pool table and nine TVs so you can watch every game that’s on. They also have karaoke and live music.
Dance Clubs
Dance the night away at AV Bar & Nightclub to hip hop, top 40, EDM, and more until 1:30 am. There are DJs several nights a week, pool and ping pong tables, and fun cocktails. For live music, great cocktails, and drink specials, Club Bombay is one of the liveliest bars in town.
Breweries and Bars
Big Bear Lake Brewing Company offers a classic GastroPub menu with signature items like their Original Avocado Bomb and the Widowmaker Burger, along with its offerings of craft brews that are made right on the spot. Try their Bearly Legal Honey Blond, seasonal Hazy Pumpkin Nights, and Sidewinder Red Ale (order a pint, 4-pack or growler), or a signature cocktail.
Make it easy on yourself and order a flight (or two) at Big Bear Mountain Brewery. Try their Big Deluxe Imperial Stout or their Hard Kombucha, or really any of the nine beers on tap are worth trying. And they all go well with their Big Bear Burger, Chef’s Cubano, and Badass Wings.
For a slightly more upscale tasting experience, head to Barrel 33 for wine, beer, and cider tastings. Enjoy their Baked Brie, Brie and Honey Toast, or a salad made with fresh, local ingredients, flatbreads, toasted sandwiches, and more. Choose from pages of reds, whites, and specialties like the Cookies and Cream Stout Ice Cream. They offer a nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages too.
