A Property to Suit Every Traveler
Big Bear, California is a destination that brings diverse activities, tours and landscapes. At Big Bear Cabins, we’re pleased to be able to present our guests with a collection of Big Bear spring rentals made to match this standard. Those guests who are looking for a rustic getaway complete with the features and amenities that reflect the fun of the great outdoors will fall in love with our cozy cabins built for comfort. Warm wood-paneled exteriors and rustic wood, comprehensive floor plans, and comfortable sofas and armchairs make up the majority of our spring rental cabins.
You choose the type of rental you want, from lovely lakefront homes or secluded cabins on more remote wooded lots or in subdivisions to more of a retro, summer-camp feel in a fun, cluster of cabins. And the best part is that most of our rentals are within walking distance of town, where you can find restaurants, local markets, grocery stores, cute souvenir shops, and the marina where you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, or whatever you need for your water fun. Let us help you select a rental cabin close to the things you plan to do while you’re here. Are you a hiker or mountain bike enthusiast? Book one of our cabins close to trailheads, hiking trails or single-tracks. Or book a cabin closer to Big Bear Mountain Resort where you can enjoy all sorts of outdoor fun.
Booking a cabin at Big Bear comes with the added benefit of enjoying forested surroundings best admired from a charming front porch or back patio. When it’s time to cook up a home-style meal, do so in a comprehensive kitchen space that often includes durable countertops, plenty of cabinetry and modern appliances for added convenience. We care deeply about our rentals and see that they are regularly cleaned and maintained.
Those travelers to Big Bear that are looking for something a bit more luxurious will love the option to book a vacation home. Let us know if you’re on the hunt for a cabin at Big Bear that includes a private hot tub, private waterfront access, swimming pool access or requires pet-friendly extras. From large back yards to preferred vantage points, we’re happy to accommodate requests big and small. We can also accommodate longer stays in our long-term rentals.
Spring into Fun in Big Bear
When spring is in full swing, there’s no time to waste getting out and exploring the best this area has to offer. Staying in our Big Bear lakefront homes will surely be a treat. After a long, hard day of skiing, hiking, or kayaking, you’ll enjoy resting up in front of the roaring fireplace in your rental or snuggling up on the deck while you do some serious stargazing.
Make the most of shore fishing when your ideal vacation comes with a line in hand and try your luck at reeling in everything from largemouth bass and catfish to rainbow trout during the course of an afternoon. Book one of our vacation homes with private waterfront access and you can be out on the lake in no time. Bring your own watercraft or rent what you need at the marina.
Get out on the lake! Now that things are starting to warm up a little, you can spend the day on the lake kayaking, paddleboarding or jet skiing. Or just hike or bike around the lake on one of the many local trails. Don’t forget to bring along some good hiking boots because the trails this time of year can be a little muddy or even snowy. An easy trail to get you started is the Alpine Pedal Path (this popular, paved path offers many access points to the lake and picnic spots too). Ready to work up a sweat? Hike the Cougar Crest Trail on the north side of the lake or the Skyline Trail (a long 13-mile hike) on the south. Mountain bikers should head over to Summit Bike Park at Big Bear Mountain Resort, or the Skyline Ridge. There are over 100 miles of single-track, back-country trails and service roads for mountain bike riders to explore here in Big Bear.
Those visitors who can’t wait for a bird’s eye view of the landscape with a side of breathtaking speed will want to book a ziplining experience with the professionals at Action Tours while you’re in town. Want to take to the air for great views, but you aren’t quite ready to try ziplining yet? Take a fun helicopter tour for a panoramic view of local landmarks, mountain forests and lakes, the Mojave Desert, San Gorgonio Mountains, and the Santa Ana canyon. Of course, you can always just stay grounded (sort of) and take a boat tour of the lake too. Enjoy the lake on a paddlewheel boat, or even a pirate ship, complete with pirates and live entertainment.
