Best Trails and Parks for Mountain Biking in Big Bear

The Snow Summit Ski Resort is home to the only lift-serviced mountain biking park in all of Southern California. Widely varying terrain such as bridges, berms, and step-ups present an intriguing challenge to bike riders of all abilities.

The Skyline Ridge Trail, one of the most popular Big Bear, CA, mountain biking trails, passes through Snow Summit and has one of the most striking views in the entire valley. From here, you can see Big Bear Lake to the North and Mount San Gorgonio to the South.

The trail from Pine Knot Trail to Grand View Point consists of three miles of single-track that you can ride each way, while Cougar Crest Trail has two miles of single-track and Alpine Pedal Path has three and a half miles of paved pathway. Finally, Hanna Flats and Grays Peak have unbeatable views and a cross-country mountain biking descent, for those looking for a greater challenge than normal.
