Big Bear Watersports offers a charter boat service out of Pine Knot Marina right on the lake, and they offer lessons for various watersports with certified USA Water Ski instructors. Enjoy lessons for a wealth of different water sports, including water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, wake surfing, wake skiing, wake skating, knee boarding, and the EZ ski trainer! Booking Time at Big Bear Watersports School
The pricing for Big Bear Watersports School includes access to all of their offered activities. Along with your booking fee, you will receive access to all activities with equipment, fuel, life preservers, instruction, and fun included at no charge. Big Bear Watersports School staff will drive the boat and all you need to worry about is having fun. Their bookings start at one hour for $224 or three hours for $669. This hourly rate is not per person and includes as many friends and family as you like. The more people you bring, the better deal you will receive per person. The Big Bear Watersports School operates daily from May to September and offers reservations as early as 7 am, and they end their days around 6 pm. There are no pets or animals allowed on board, so make sure you make other arrangements if you bring your furry friends with you. Reservations are not required to have fun at the Big Bear Watersports School, but they are highly recommended to ensure you get the most out of your experience.
Know Before You Go
To get the most out of your Big Bear Watersports School time, here are some things you should know before you go. Their boats allow five to seven passengers on the boat at one time. You are permitted to bring more people than that included with your charge, but you will have to take turns on the boat, which does take up more time to switch people on and off. You will also be required to fill out some waivers and paperwork ahead of time, so make sure you arrive at the school at least 30 minutes before your set time. This extra time will also allow them to fit you for life preservers and other equipment so that it doesn’t take up your booked time. Big Bear Watersports School operates out of the Pine Knot Marina, so it might be helpful to carpool to the school. The marina charges a parking fee per car and have limited parking space, so condensing into less vehicles is always helpful. To avoid the parking fee, there is some free parking in The Village lot, but it does have a short walk down to the school. Finally, there is limited space to store your belongings while out on the lake, so leave any valuables in the car or at your vacation rental to ensure their safety.
