The Big Bear Alpine Zoo is very much a rehabilitation center for animals while also providing a permanent collection of creatures that are sure to inspire a love for the great outdoors. With over 85 species living on-site, this zoo is one that takes the concept of diversity to the next level. Castle Rock Trail can be accessed off of Big Bear Boulevard with convenient parking available on the north side of the road near the trailhead.
