Whether you’re a local or a tourist, you’ve got to be acquainted with the Village—a center of activities and leisure in Big Bear Lake. Not surprisingly, this city center is also a great place to spend the holidays!
Come to the Village for Halloween in Big Bear this October 31st and discover all the holiday’s thrills celebrated in earnest. Shops turn into prime trick-or-treating spots—over fifty of them, in fact, so be sure to bring a big bag! Plus, with such a large gathering, you’re sure to see some spectacular decorations and eye-popping costumes!
A Tremendous Tradition
Perhaps the best part about trick-or-treating in The Village compared to another neighborhood is the firm sense of continuity. On the one hand, the classic decorations you see each year lend a feeling of identity and timelessness. Yet even so, the shops constantly trying to outdo each other and be the talk of the town the following day leads to ever-more-amazing decorations and treats!
Halloween in Big Bear: Where and When
The Village is a popular spot for errands and recreation alike, so it’s no surprise it’s almost right in the middle of the town. It’s usually easiest to take Highway 18 to get there. If you’re on the west side of town, head east on Highway 18. Highway 18 will turn left; keep going straight to get on Village Drive. When you reach the intersection of Village Drive and Big Bear Boulevard, you should see the “Welcome to the Village” sign—head straight or left and you’re ready for the festivities!
If you’re on the east side of town, head west on Highway 18 until you reach Pine Knot Ave. Head left to go south and you’re at the Village!
The trick-or-treating starts at 4:30 and goes until 7, so don’t worry about getting the kids to bed on time—there’ll be plenty of time to have their fill of fun!
