If everything goes according to plan, (and barring any more crazy pandemic restrictions), the Big Bear Wine Walk will be back this year! It’s time to enjoy an afternoon of shopping and wine tasting, all while strolling through lovely Big Bear Lake Village. The weather is wonderful, you’re surrounded by the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains, and there’s a glass of wine in your hand. Life can be good.
The Summer Wine Walk in Big Bear
The wine walk is one of Big Bear’s more popular annual events, and tickets usually sell out quickly. Held in the middle of September, and hosted by the Village Business Association of Big Bear Lake, the wine tasting takes place throughout the Village’s shopping district. This casual wine tasting usually starts around 3:00 or 3:30 pm and lasts until 7 pm.
There are usually around twenty downtown businesses participating, and past participating businesses have included The Club, The Lodge at Big Bear Lake, Wild Coyote Gallery, Brown Bear Gift Shop, O Koo Ran, Chirps, Barrel 33, and AV Nightclub. The Captain’s Anchorage, Stillwell’s, Sister My Sister Bake Shop, the Village Sweet Shoppe, and Sonora Cantina have also participated in past years.
Each participating business will have tables set up with wines and delicious appetizers, making it easy to grab a glass and some tasty tiny bites to enjoy as you browse through the shop. Enjoy live local music as you make your way from shop to shop.
