Sonora Cantina offers up their menu of traditional Mexican in a festive dining atmosphere of bright colors and decorations.
Sonora Cantina’s menu is extensive and flavorful. Begin with appetizers like fried taquitos, Baja style calamari or shrimp, tequila lime poppers, nachos, or quesadilla topped with cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and your choice of meat. Whet your appetite or keep things light with homemade albondigas soup or menudo soup.
Breakfast includes options like machaca, chorizo and eggs, huevos rancheros, and chilaquiles.
House specialties at Sonora Cantina in Big Bear include a variety of fajitas, carnitas, carne asada, camarones (shrimp) a la diabla, tequila lime chicken, carne asada and lobster, chile verde, arroz con pollo, chile Colorado, mojarra frita (whole tilapia fried and seasoned in garlic butter), and traditional Mexican mole over chicken.
Enchiladas, tacos, chile relleno, and tamales are all offered in different combinations, while parrilladas combine carne asada, carnitas, camarones a la diabla, and shrimp ala mojo de ajo, served over rice, beans, and tortillas in the ultimate shareable dinner.
Tortas and tostadas come topped with carne asada, carnitas, pollo asada, milaneza, pescado, calamari, chile colorado, shredded chicken or beef, chile verde grilled shrimp, and more.
